Weekly Updates
What's new here, week by week, in plain language. New entries appear weekly, newest first. When the work gets heavy and starts moving fast, this page will go daily — for now, weekly is the pace.
Week of October 22, 2026 — The site launches
HAL AI 9000 is live. This site is the home of our cosmology and tensor work: plain-language explanations of what a tensor is and what it does, tensor pages for the Roman and Webb telescopes, and a page for the whole fleet of space telescopes — with TESS getting the full credit it deserves.
What we're watching: the Roman Space Telescope is on its way to its observing spot about a million miles from Earth. It should arrive in early December 2026, spend about three months getting ready, and start its first science pictures in early 2027. Its giant surveys are the ones our Roman tensor work will use.
What's next here: more telescope entries as the fleet grows, more explainers as the tensor work develops, and a new note every week. This work is independent and unfunded — nobody owns the answer, and nobody gets to shape it.
